We Need Your Support
Why Your Donation Matters
Investing in this project allows Wilkes County to be part of an initiative that provides a first-of-its-kind opportunity for residents who have a strong desire to live at their highest level of independence to live in a supportive and stable environment that provides opportunities for social access to their friends, as well as daily living supports for tasks that are difficult for them.
The generosity of supporters who believe adults with disabilities benefit from more inclusive housing options is making this community a reality.
WeBUILT Wilkes relies on donations through our non-profit that are used exclusively to help offset the cost of the build. Every donation directly funds construction, significantly reducing housing costs for individuals with limited resources.
With your support, we can build unique independent lives together!
The Impact of Your Gift
100% of your tax-deductible donation is used to offset WeBUILT Wilkes building costs, ensuring that residents from Wilkes and surrounding areas can take advantage of living their best lives.
"Fundraising is now underway and you guys can give back. The way we can do that is to help lower the cost for these individual homes. It is a great opportunity, it's going to be 100% tax deductible and all those funds go directly to helping these kids and their homes."
— Tabitha Hudler
When you donate, you're not just funding construction. You're funding:
- A young adult's first experience living independently
- Friendships that will last a lifetime
- Parents' peace of mind knowing their child has a secure future
- A community that values inclusion and dignity
- A model that will inspire similar communities across North Carolina and beyond

WeBUILT Wilkes is a community where members own equal shares through a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC). Similar to a retirement community, the buy-in gives the resident access to a home without individual ownership. Instead of a unit deed, resident representatives hold equal interest in the entire property. Each resident is represented by a parent, guardian, or owner on the community board.
The WeBUILT Wilkes LLC oversees the community's financial responsibilities.
100% of donations go directly to reducing building costs for WeBUILT Wilkes. Every dollar you give lowers the financial burden for families who need this housing option.
